This Isn’t a Test. It’s an Investment in You.

Most assessments feel like homework. This one feels like a conversation with yourself about what’s possible. The Economic Empowerment Discovery Roadmap is a thinking tool designed to help you get clear on what you want to build, why it matters to you, and which path forward fits your life right now.

No scoring. No pass/fail. Just honest questions that help you map the vision that’s already forming in your mind.

Three Paths. One Purpose. Your Choice.

The Roadmap helps you explore three distinct approaches to economic empowerment — each designed to honor both your advocacy mission and your financial future:

The Creator Journey is for advocates who want to build supplemental income while staying in the work they love. You’ll create digital products — toolkits, templates, guides, training materials — that package your frontline expertise into resources other advocates can use. Create once, sell repeatedly. Work on your schedule, at your pace. This path typically involves 5–15 hours per week alongside your current role.

The Entrepreneur Journey is for advocates ready to build an independent consulting or training practice as their primary income. You’ll serve organizations directly with the deep expertise you’ve developed over years in the field — facilitating strategic planning, delivering specialized training, or providing organizational consulting. This path requires a larger time commitment and more business infrastructure, but offers a higher income ceiling and deeper client impact.

The Hybrid Path is for advocates who want the flexibility to explore both. Start with digital products for passive income while testing consulting opportunities. Or build a consulting practice with products as an additional revenue stream. Many advocates discover their ideal balance over time, and this path gives you room to experiment without locking into one direction.

What’s Inside the Roadmap

•  Vision & Purpose mapping — clarify the problem you’re solving and what makes you uniquely qualified

•  Income Goals exploration — honest questions about what additional income would mean for your life

•  Strengths & Expertise inventory — identify what people already come to you for

•  Potential Connections worksheet — map the network that’s already waiting for what you offer

•  Next Steps planning — your first three action steps, at your own pace

Three Ways to Use It

•  Quick Reference: Read on your device and take notes in your favorite app

•  Print & Write: Print it out for a tactile, reflective experience

•  Digital Worksheet: Type your responses and save to your own drive

Why It’s Free

Because the first step in any journey should feel like an invitation, not a transaction. This Roadmap is my way of saying: your expertise matters, your financial future matters, and taking 30 minutes to think about both is worth your time. If it helps you gain clarity, it’s done its job.

What Happens After You Complete It

That’s entirely up to you. Some advocates join the Advocate Creators Network (free community) to connect with peers. Some explore The Advocates’ Economic Leap community for curated resources and monthly discussions. Some dive straight into creating their first product on the APA Marketplace. And some take more time to think. All of these are valid next steps.
